A Note from the President

Summer is well underway and things are looking sunny at TransPharm! I am pleased to announce the promotion of employee Lisa Lazaroff to Scientist. Lisa has been a member of our team since 2011. In addition to her role ensuring compliance as our IACUC (Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee) Administrator, Lisa will be managing the vivarium and performing preclinical studies. Lisa is an invaluable member of our team and we are proud to have her as an employee and coworker. Please join us in congratulating Lisa on her new position.

TransPharm had a successful AAALAC site visit in May. AAALAC International is a private, nonprofit organization that promotes the humane treatment of animals in science through a voluntary accreditation program. Every three years, evaluators conduct a comprehensive on-site assessment to grant renewal or revoke accredited status. We are proud to share that TransPharm has been recommended for re-accreditation through 2021.

In the Lab

Five students from Michigan colleges and universities were selected as TransPharm’s 2018 summer interns. Each intern spent two weeks in the lab validating a vancomycin-resistant strain of Enterococcus faecalis (VRE) in a mouse model of bacteremia, peritonitis, or soft tissue infection. Contact us today for a complimentary professional consultation or to request a free, no-obligation quote!
