Scientist, IACUC Administrator
Lisa graduated from the Veterinary Technology program at Michigan State University and is certified by AALAS as a Laboratory Animal Technologist. Although she has worked in small animal clinics throughout Mid-Michigan, Lisa spent the majority of her career in the Toxicology department at Pfizer where she worked with novel compounds in a variety of animal models. During her 16 year tenure, Lisa gained experience with numerous animal models and acquired an extensive background working in a GLP environment and operating under AAALAC guidelines. Lisa is also an adjunct faculty member at Baker College, where she teaches in the Veterinary Technology Program.
Brittany Dixon, MS
Brittany earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Alma College in 2012 and a Master’s degree in Molecular and Cellular Pathology from the University of Michigan in 2015. During her education, Brittany studied abroad in Australia, taught medical school in Ethiopia, and served as President of her graduate student council. As TransPharm’s Scientific Writer, Brittany analyzes experimental data and authors study reports. She also volunteers as a Language Editor for De Gruyter Academic Publishing.
Kyle graduated from Grand Valley State University in April 2015 with a Bachelor’s degree in General Biology and started his career in biological research at TransPharm Preclinical Solutions in November 2015. As an Associate Scientist, Kyle helps with animal handling and lab duties. Kyle is proficient in laboratory procedures including sample plating and client compound preparation. He also helps with the harvesting of various animal tissues including thigh muscles, lungs, spleens, and kidneys for the purpose of tracking the overall growth, population density, and growth kinetics of the infectious pathogen. He received his RLAT certification in 2017.
